Financial Challenge: Sustaining CrossWalk’s Growth
Growing to Meet Community Needs

CrossWalk Community Outreach is expanding rapidly to meet the essential needs of neighbors throughout Maine’s Lakes Region. Beginning in 2026, CrossWalk will operate from its new home at 11 October Road in Naples, Maine—a welcoming and stable Outreach Center where neighbors facing hardship can find practical help, dignity, and support.

More than 50 dedicated volunteers work year-round to make CrossWalk’s programs possible. As a grassroots organization working directly with neighbors, CrossWalk relies on grant writing, fundraising events, and private donations to fund daily operations and keep services available to the community.

Your Gift Makes a Direct Impact

With growth comes a significant increase in operating expenses, including the cost of running the Outreach Center six days a week throughout the year. Donor generosity is essential to sustaining these much-needed programs and helping CrossWalk work toward eventually purchasing its building, which would reduce long-term operating costs. Every contribution directly supports neighbors facing hardship and helps CrossWalk continue serving the community with compassion, respect, and dignity.
